Postovsky, Winitz and, later, Krashen, brought attention to the role of
listening as a tool for understanding and a key factor in facilitating language
learning. Listening has emerged as an important component in the process of

pre-eminence of listening comprehension in instructional methods, especially in
the early stages of language learning.
There
are two kinds of listening: internal and external. External Listening is what
we are focusing on-listening to other people and things outside of you. But Internal Listening is very important: it is the
ability to listen to yourself. To be in tune with your mind and body. And there are two
differences in listening comprehension, the first listeners use knowledge about
