HOW TO LISTEN WELL??????????

INTRODUCTION
Listening is a mental process of learning that are not visible, and listening is a very difficult lesson or not easy, because listening is where we have to understand what the speaker said, to understand the meaning of what was said the speaker, in response to what the speaker was talking about the brain training us to imagine what the speaker was talking about. It was very easy to do when the speaker and listener understand each language used, and sebalikya listen it will be difficult when the speaker uses language that listeners still not well understood. For example, use English speaker and the listener still beleajar basic English, as often happens in a school english class. In English classes in schools listening lessons are the hardest lessons according to the students, although the students were able to work on the problems with the English language well, but not necessarily listen to their biased test pass. because students consider the example given when subjects listened to it very difficult to understand because it was too fast and use a lot of speaking vocabulary of unknown or new vocabulary and pronunciation according to them that is almost similar to other words.
That's why we have to train our hearing often listen english conversation like seeing a movie western, song western and hear others. In addition we also have to train our speech to eliminate ucapn trouble understanding other people.
DISCUSSION
HOW TO LISTEN WELL?
Research has demonstrated that adults spend 40-50% of communication time listening (Gilman & Moody 1984), but the importance of listening in language learning has only been recognized relatively recently (Oxford 1993). Since the role of listening comprehension in language learning was taken for granted, it merited little research and pedagogical attention. Although listening played an important role in audio-lingual methods, students only listened to repeat and develop a better pronunciation (for speaking). Beginning in the early 70's, work by Asher, Postovsky, Winitz and, later, Krashen, brought attention to the role of listening as a tool for understanding and a key factor in facilitating language learning. Listening has emerged as an important component in the process of second language acquisition (Feyten, 1991). This research base provides support for the pre-eminence of listening comprehension in instructional methods, especially in the early stages of language learning.
There are two kinds of listening: internal and external. External Listening is what we are focusing on-listening to other people and things outside of you. But Internal Listening is very important: it is the ability to listen to yourself. To be in tune with your mind and body. And there are two differences in listening comprehension, the first listeners use knowledge about the topic, listen to the context, type text, and other information that has been stored in the memory that has been known to understand the meaning of a spoken message or discussion by the second pembicara.dan listeners use linguistic knowledge (language / the study of language), here the listener tries to connect grammatical knowledge (language / the study of grammar) meaning lexical (vocabulary / the study of vocabulary) of the meaning of the sound level is lower to arrive at the final message the speaker to understand the meaning / significance of the spoken message or discussion by the speakers. But both the understanding is not too important, the important thing is to have a mutual process / action and is to hold the impression of an opinion and views relating to the interpretation / meaning of the provision in which listeners use linguistic knowledge to understand the message. Someone who uses the first hearing or understanding others to listen to it depends on the listener knowledge of the language used by the speaker, the topic being discussed, and the purpose of listening.
